The Boiler & Heater Group, Thermax's largest business division, provides equipment and solutions* for generating steam and power such as waste heat recovery systems, oil/gas/coal/biomass-fired boilers and heat recovery steam generators (HRSG). The Boiler & Heater Group also offers fired heaters for various applications. The Group's services arm provides renovation & modernisation (R&M) solutions for old boilers and heaters.
Among the major products offered by Thermax's Boiler & Heater Group are waste heat recovery boilers for various industrial processes, waste-to-energy boilers (spent wash and MSW/RDF) AFBC boiler, CFBC boiler, travelling grate boiler, engine exhaust gas boiler, heat recovery steam generator (HRSG), and API-type fired heaters. The equipment supplied caters to various process applications in the petrochemical, refinery, power utility, steel, fertilizer, cement, sugar and other sectors.
Thermax's Boiler & Heater Group has an engineering office fully geared up to undertake process and detailed engineering of boilers and fired heaters across a wide range of capacities and pressure/temperature ratings. The equipment can be designed and supplied, depending on customer preference, either in fully assembled (“packaged”) condition or shipped loose to project site (“field-erected”). The engineering office has access to the world-class manuals, databases and well-documented engineering practices of Thermax's technical collaborator M/s Babcock & Wilcox Power Generation Group, Inc. (USA). The engineering office also has access to Babcock & Wilcox's latest software programs.
Envisaging continuous growth opportunity, Thermax's Boiler & Heater Group has set up a new boiler manufacturing facility at Baroda (Gujarat, India). We also have a port assembly facility at Mundra on the Western sea-coast of India where assembly of large packaged boilers is carried out.
